On My Work Experiences with Varicap Diodes
Wednesday, August 10th, 2011I’ve always been quite a hobbyist when it comes to gadgets. I bought my very first micro computer in 1985 – a Commodore 64. From that year on, I was very much into the electronics within the micro computer itself. In that era microcomputers had just a few kilobytes of ROM and RAM, and even 16K was viewed to be a rather extensive sum of on-board memory (hard to believe when compared to today). What’s astonished me is the acceleration in which electronics has improved over the last 20 years.
During the decade of the 90s, I was building my very own PCs from spares. However, even that did not satisfy an even larger ambition to genuinely witness what was taking place at a really micro level.
During the last few years, my career sees me very involved with the area of electronics that is the varactor diode (for example). My work has taken me in a slightly unique path, all the same I’ve seen that my enthusiasm has fired up once again, and I’m discovering that this particular discipline of electronics is absolutely intriguing. Who knows what the future holds too, when thinking about technology? I must continue to pursue my own thirst for knowledge and trust my passion never dissipates and allows me to follow the wonderful advances in technology we see on a well-nigh day-by-day level.
