Here’s why you should ride a bicycle!

Here’s why you should ride a bicycle!

The world is an open road when you’re riding a bicycle! Bicycle riding
for recreation is becoming more popular than ever. More main roads are being designed with bicycle lanes, and bicycle trails can be found in all parts of the country. Many bicycle trails are formed along old railroad tracks, which are fairly level and placed at a distance from
automobile traffic, and stretch on for miles. This makes them perfect for both the beginners and the experienced bicycle riders.

Bicycles themselves have evolved greatly over the years, becoming ever better than they were before. The first bicycle came into being back in 1817, a simple version with two wooden wheels and propelled by pushing the ground with one’s feet. The bicycle has taken on many shapes over the years. It was in the 1890’s that wooden or steel tires were finally replaced by pneumatic ones, and bicycling became widespread as a form of transportation. Bicycles were affordable to the general public, and what began as a fad became a reasonable means of getting to where one
needed to go.

Today’s bicycles are a credit to years of improvements, being made of stronger, more durable materials, yet incredibly light weight, and with complex features to give increased speed and ease. Bicycles are
specialized for long distances, racing, city traffic or climbing mountain trails. Bicycle enthusiasts still keep coming up with a better bicycle. The patent office receives hundreds of patents a year for
innovations to make a better bicycle !

Save Up With Webmaster Staff Leasing

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

A Webmaster’s work is not as easy as many people think,
especially if he has to handle many sites. I personally know a
webmaster handling about 12 sites and I wonder how could he be
maintaining all of the sites properly? But then I learned that
he just could not trust the sites to be handled by someone else
because he loved the sites by heart and as much as possible
wanted to attend to them personally, although he admitted that
he was always tired and exhausted by his job and wished he could
have somebody who could help him out on his daily operational
tasks. As much as possible he wanted to be the project manager
himself since he did not want much external perceptions. He
wanted somebody who he could trust completely and be comfortable
with, someone who would not rush work just for the money or for
the reason of getting the job done as fast as possible. Also
clarified that he needed someone to be more than an assistant to
him, an agent that understands his work and intelligent enough
to give suggestions and bring in new ideas without persisting. I
know there are many more webmasters out there with same
concerns. If you think you are spending more than enough of your
quality time on just link trading, software testing, blog
writing, promoting and researching instead of focusing on your
business’ strategy and growth or other broad business issues? If
you need help on programming and more ideas on maintaining your
websites or you are in need of a moderator, journalist or
perhaps a project coordinator? Or if you just need someone who
you could trust to maintain your website? Then you need not to
worry anymore. With webmaster staff leasing you will only have
bright days ahead of you. This method is just your thing. All
you have to do is to indulge yourself and see how it works for
you. You could get rid of your dilemmas without spending too
much money. Webmaster staff leasing is a very affordable,
efficient and effective way of getting help. Webmaster staff
leasing always offers dedicated full-time intelligent
professionals to work for you. You could brows through the lists
of available agents and pick your best choice or you could give
the qualifications of your ideal agent and it will be given to
you. Also, you do not have to worry about your employee’s
benefits and working space for it is being handled. All you have
to do is to focus on your business and nothing else. Save time,
money and energy with webmaster staff leasing. For more

Golf Nutrition Is Not An Oxymoron…Listen Up

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Golf nutrition is still a relatively new concept. However, everybody knows that leading athletes in the NBA and NFL quite often have special diets and specific nutrition programs to help them perform at their peak.

The reasons who golf nutrition is still in it’s’ infancy in the golf game is easy to see. To start with nutrition in sports goes hand in hand with the training and physical exercise program for the particular sport. In golf, exercises are still a very new concept although many professionals have already embraced it as an important part of their golf game.

For years golf has had the image of being a leisure sport to be played by the rich and the sort of people who do not just carelessly break into a sweat. Then came golfers of the likes of the legendary Tiger Woods.

For the first time in the sport, leading golfers were very young and extremely physically fit. Since then, the game has never been the same again and as exercise continues to take center stage golf nutrition has to grow alongside it.

Golf nutrition is usually part and parcel of a golf exercise program and is really designed to enhance energy and strength even as the exercise program works to build up the golfer.

The sort of golf nutrition that will become common will not be very different from what we see in other sports. The idea will be to have a diet of energy foods and foods that will help in building up strength and endurance for a better golf game.

So the typical nutrition recommendations that go with weight training for strength will be found in the special golf nutrition that leading experts are recommending to golfers.

This is the direction that the wonderful game of golf has taken and it seems that there is no turning back for any golfer who wants to improve their game. You just have to consider golf nutrition alongside your current golf exercise program.

Fly Fishing with Streamers

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Fly fishing streamers is often over looked by fly anglers, especially trout anglers. Streamers is a category of flies fly fisherman have given to loosely mean food other than insects. Generally, being smaller fish, it could also be crayfish, leeches, and crustaceans. Bass and salt water anglers, are more familiar with the theory that big fish eat littler fish. However, as our sport is dominated by trout anglers we think insect first and many times that is as far as our thought process goes. However, big fish eat little fish, always have and always will. Fish are indiscriminate feeders and will eat what is presented to them. They don’t have preferences, they take what they are given. And the nice thing about little fish is they are always present.

In most rivers and lakes there will be almost always be fish fry of one kind or another present. With the predominant season for fish fry being the spring, they easily will be present until late fall, and often year around. But even if fry are not around, minnows are present year around, sculpins, silversides, alewives, smelt, the list is endless. And even if you say there are no minnows available where you fish, well, trout are cannibalistic, if your fishing waters have big trout, then it also has little trout. In short, the ‘hatch’ is always on when you are fishing streamers.

Besides year around availability, another advantage of fishing streamers, is your average catch is going to be larger. Fish are masters of energy conservation and expenditure. They will not pursue food if it costs more energy to catch then they will receive from its consumption. That is why in the winter they will not chase food, you literally have to hit them in the nose with it. This fact, helps us to understand the feeding habits of large trout. A large trout holed down deep, not particularly interested in eating, will consume a minnow, if given the opportunity, no matter what. They might not rise up to devour size 22 Tricos, unless they are in a feeding mode, but given a minnow that they only have to lunge for, is an opportunity they won’t turn down very often. That is a lot of energy consumed without a lot of energy exerted.

Techniques for fishing streamers vary from nymphs somewhat. A little action imparted by your rod tip, can help convince your targeted prey that the minnow is injured, thereby increasing strike potential. If casting into a river, the current will help you greatly in imparting ’swimming’ action onto your streamer. Raisng and then lowering your rod tip, can also aid in the action. Vary the tempo until you find something that works. If fishing in lakes and ponds or from a boat on a river, you will need to retrieve. Again vary the tempo, using short bursts followed by a count or two of idleness. Allow your streamer to fall, often times the strikes happen when your fly is falling.

Favorite trout streamers include Woolly Buggers, both beadhead and non-beadhead. Mickey Finns, Jannsen’s Minnows, and of course the veritable Muddler Minnow and its cast of imitators. Bass fisherman have also used the same patterns for years and years. Saltwater patterns all virtually fall under the streamer category with perennial favorites being the Lefty’s Deceivers, Clouser Minnows, and Crazy Charlies. As well as various crab and shrimp patterns.

Trout fisherman might have to bulk up their gear a little, depending on what they are used to fishing with. 6 wt rods are usually preferable, with enough stoutness to cast the bigger fly, and fight those sure to come bigger fish.

A Guide to Empowerment and Self-Control

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Chant the following each day, several times. They are mantras that will save your life -

- The choice to do nothing is still a choice and yields nothing.

- I am responsible for my body. If I don’t take responsibility, who will?

- I make choices daily as to how I’m going to fuel my body.

- I will STAY aware

- Choice IS control

Control is what you gain once you realize that no one will take care of you. You might think its ok to live with our grown children when we are infirm, but we both know, you and I, that this isn’t the case. We would regret imposing on them, at the prime of their lives. We would resent being infirm and therefore feel sorry for ourselves.

There is no guarantee against illness, but you and I also know that the eating patterns that brought you to this place are going to make you very ill eventually, if you don’t change them starting now. You are in the process of growing toward self-healing. And what a wondrous process that is!

You must decide to do that yourself.

It sounds like a negative realization. On the contrary, it will be one of the most freeing moments of wisdom you will ever feel.

BECAUSE – once you realize that your health is up to you and you alone, you are free to move toward healing.

Control gives us the freedom to write our own destiny and dreams. That which we desire, control gives us a shot at. We want to be healthy and only WE ourselves can achieve that goal. No one can take that step to make us healthier. So by developing control functions, we better equip ourselves for the task of whipping our poor bodies into shape.

How many times have you shaken your fist at the heavens, bemoaning your “lack of willpower”? Well, you don’t have to do that any longer. We’re going to toss the word “willpower” right out on its ear.

Take a moment and examine the word “willpower”. It’s meaning is clear. It is the power of your will. Many people have a problem narrowing down the word “will”. Will can mean many things, but when it all boils down, it is desire, wish, choice and determination. Your “will” is quite simply…CHOICE.

You don’t NEED willpower to lose weight. What you NEED is to make a choice.

Once you’ve done that, simply bow to the incredible wisdom of that choice.

Discover Lifestyle Coaching to Acquire Phenomenal Results

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Performance coaching is a type of therapy that has become increasingly popular over the last ten years. The term performance coaching first became likeable in the United States of America where, together with NLP, it became part of a new and improved stunning wave of astonishingly proactive therapy modalities.

In many ways both Lifestyle Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming are an answer against certain aspects of the person-centred therapy movement, in particular Person-Centred Counselling. A problem of the person-centred approach is that it is very reactive and not exceedingly proactive. Although all this works terrific with some people, with other customers long periods of no exit in sight or low return for time and effort occur. Life coaching and NLP are both humanistic therapy in stance, spending effort on improving a customers well-being rather than delving into the minefields of childhood, like traditional therapy. Success coachings emphasis is, however, deliberately proactive and used to make you happy. Find out how to boost self esteem with a life coach.

Personal coaching is not about telling the coaching client what to do. This is a common misconception. Some success coaches are comparatively successful in their business careers and then make the change to performance coaching, thinking that they will at most be required to divulge their pearls of fabulous business wisdom with the client. This is more like mentoring an apprentice in a specific environment. Success coaching is instead about life as a whole.

Marriage Anniversary

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

It is an occasion where you ceremoniously re-affirm your love for each other, renew you vows of love that you had made to each other when you were married and when you first fell in love. Long years have passed and you have walked a long way together. Each of you has become part of the other’s life, so that now you can no longer think differently. But do you affirm your love as you used to do when you have first fallen in love with each other or the first few hours that you have spent together? Do you now hold hands while you walk in the busy streets? Do you now still look at each other’s face silently as you used to when you were in love. You should always make your marriage anniversary an occasion to remember. This is the time when you renew your commitments to each other. It is a time when you should forget who is superior and who is not and other mundane issues that would often lead to quarrel. Rather you should try to re-assess and understand the difficulty that the other person faces in order to make your life comfortable. You should give each other the same gift that you had given when you were in love. The same flowers would bring back fresh fragrances in your life.

Exercise The Right Way – The Deadlift

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Other articles in this series looked at a number of exercises, mainly from the perspective of developing a comprehensive muscle building program. Sometimes we take things for granted, especially when it comes to performing the basic exercises that constitute the core of most bodybuilders’ training regimes.

It is useful, therefore, to describe in detail the processes involved in actually doing these exercises. This will help beginners to start out using the correct techniques before moving on to potentially more dangerous heavy weights. If it also helps more experienced lifters to redress some of the little faults that have almost imperceptibly crept in over the years, all the better.

In this article we’ll take a close look at the deadlift.

  • Dental Care: A Surefire Killer Smile

    Monday, October 20th, 2008

A smile freshens up the face better than any make-up can do. A killer smile will make everyone look and stare. You do not have to have a perfect set of teeth but keeping your pearly whites clean and your breath smelling fresh will definitely be life changing.

Brushing your teeth twice a day is an essential dental care. This helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease. The size and shape of your toothbrush should fit the mouth to enable the brush to reach all areas easily. Using a toothpaste containing fluoride is also another tip in dental care for fluoride helps protect your teeth from decay. It is also a vital dental care if you clean between the teeth using floss or interdental cleaners which remove plaque from the in between areas the toothbrush can’t reach. This also prevents gum disease.

Brushing the teeth is not as easy as you thought it is. You might not believe this but brushing the teeth is more than brushing the teeth, spitting out the water, and gargling. The following are tips in brushing that will definitely vamp your personal dental care.

    • Brush at a 45 degree angle in short, half-tooth-wide strokes against the gumline
    • In brushing chewing surfaces, hold the brush flat and brush back and forth
    • Tilt brush vertically and use gentle up and down strokes with toe of brush in brushing inside surfaces of front teeth
    • Brush the tongue in a back-to-front sweeping motion to remove food particles and freshen the mouth.

As mentioned earlier, flossing is a vital part in dental care and similar with brushing, there is a proper way in doing it. The following will teach you how to floss properly and get that great smile.

    • Wrap an 18-inch strand around your middle fingers and hold a one inch section tightly.
    • Ease floss between teeth and clean up and down several times while curving around the tooth at the gumline.
    • Always floss behind the last tooth and unwind clean floss as your proceed.
    • Floss around the abutment teeth of a bridge and under artificial teeth with a floss threader.

It has been said that a person should visit the dentist at least twice a year and that saying is not just a maxim passed from a parent to a child for the sake of passing but in fact is a type of dental care that we all should be responsive. Brushing and flossing will never be enough to keep your pearly whites unbelievably clean and your mouth smelling fresh. Visiting your dentist at least once in six months will ensure that killer smile you thought only existed in commercials.

When you go to the dentist, you get more than cleaning. If cleaning is all you can get from the dentist as dental care, your dentist might be getting more than your money’s worth. When you visit the dentist, you actually get a full spectrum of dental care. The full spectrum includes diagnostic, preventive, and educational services specifically and individually designed to help you keep the best possible smile.

The diagnostic part of dental care spectrum includes:

    1. A review and update of your medical history
    2. A recording of any changes in your prescribed medications and physical condition
    3. X-rays for detecting decay, bone loss, and oral diseases
    4. An examination of your teeth to detect decay
    5. Evaluation of your gum tissues
    6. Checking your biting patterns
    7. Evaluation of possible cosmetic alterations which may help improve your smile

The preventive service of the spectrum of dental care includes:

    1. blood pressure screening
    2. Head and neck oral cancer screening
    3. Scaling of the teeth to remove all plaque and tartar
    4. Polishing of the teeth to remove all stains
    5. Polishing of the silver crowns
    6. Polishing all silver restorations
    7. Flossing
    8. Application of fluoride if necessary
    9. Referral to a specialist for specific treatment if necessary

The educational service of the spectrum of dental care includes:

    1. A tour of the mouth and discussion of the findings
    2. Tooth brushing and flossing instructions
    3. Dietary discussion
    4. Presentation of prescribed dental treatment
    5. Updates on what is new in home care products and latest advances in dentistry

Dental care is more than brushing the teeth as you have learned as you read this article. Good oral hygiene is a habit we all should get into to keep that smile a killer that will make you attractive and not scary.
